Door Care, Maintenance & Warranty Information

• IDL manufactured products are warrantied under the Fair Trade Act 1986 and Consumer Guarantees Act NZ (CGA). Products used in our manufactured items are covered under the above together with the individual suppliers product warranty.

• Your timber door may be affected by changes in temperature, moisture and location.

•Following delivery of doors to site, doors must be stored in a dry, well ventilated area prior to installation. Please note, freshly plastered areas can contain high levels of moisture, so please avoid storing any product supplied by Indoorz in spaces where such work has recently, or is due to occur during the period of product storage.

• Before installation, all six door surfaces must be sealed initially then after installation painted, stained or clear refinished with good quality products. Follow the paint manufacturer’s instructions with the correct number of coatings on ALL surfaces.

• Doors must be painted in colours with a light reflectance value (LRV) of less than 50%, failure to do so could result in heat distortion and/or warping. Dark colours will void product guarantee.

• Use the same colour on all six surfaces, different colours will cause doors to warp.

• We strongly recommend the use of steel reinforced doors in sliders and cavity sliders to prevent bowing, warping and to validate the manufacturers warranty.

• A warp, bow or cup shall not be considered a defect unless it exceeds 5mm in a 1980 door or greater in larger doors. For more warranty information refer to the most current version of the InDoorz brochure or the InDoorz website.. All doors 2601-3600 (high) x 1601-2400 (wide) are void of manufacturers warranty.

• Location and fitment of your door furniture depends on the door construction. Honeycomb core doors have a lock block located generally on the side with the door manufacturer label, and door furniture should be fitted in this location. Solid doors may have door furniture installed at any selected height, either side of door

• Door maintenance is necessary for long term performance and periodic inspections are recommended. At the first sign of deterioration, your door should be properly refinished, making sure that all bottom surfaces of the door receive proper resealing and painting.

• To clean your door, use a damp cloth. Do not hose or use chemicals or abrasives.

The warranty may be void if the above conditions are not met.
